Introducing Perfect Image WP Retina 2x Pro
This plugin generates the images required by Retina (or any other high-DPI) devices and then displays the image files to your visitors in the appropriate way. Your website will appear beautiful and sharp on all devices. Retina images are created by the site by a computer (you could manually create them) and distributed to users. You'll be able to manage everything from a simple dashboard.
Since the release of WordPress, The responsive images support was included in the base. The plugin has never supported responsive images (only Retina), which is a positive development. The plugin is compatible with this new WordPress version and adds retina pictures to the src set. You also have the option to limit what WordPress does (and to remove the new image size that was added and could have become unnecessary).
Quick start
- Find out what your WordPress is using sizes of images.
- Make your choices. The default options are fine, but you may want to limit specific image sizes created through the plugin.
- Images with retinas are generated automatically by default, but after installing, you'll need to visit the Retina dashboard and select Bulk Generate.
- Voila!

I highly recommend WP Engine and SiteGround; both are excellent hosting options for WordPress with fast and reliable assistance. If they're too costly for you, I suggest HostGator. They may not have the most efficient performance, but they are affordable and provide excellent assistance.
