Why is this necessary?
Let's say you run an online shop selling customized printed T-shirts. Each T-shirt design is displayed as merchandise on your website. It's not complicated.
But not really... Because WooCommerce does not track stock on an item level, there's no way to track the total amount of blank t-shirts in stock for each product.
Your inventory levels could rapidly fall out of sync, and your customers can buy ten different prints, even if you only had one t-shirt in the store!

Through WooCommerce Attribute Stock, you can divide stock across various variations or products. This is accomplished by coordinating stocks based on the attributes of the product and attributes, which makes it highly adaptable yet still comfortable and user-friendly.
The stock levels of shares are correctly recorded, the stock available is shown to customers, and any over-purchasing is stopped.

Stock based on attributes manages stocks at an attribute level. Share stock among all variants or products that have at least one attribute assigned to them.
